Hairdressing Trade Test Center

Hairdressing Trade Test Center

How does it work?

As stipulated by Services SETA and NAMB we need certain evidence to be submitted with your trade test application, once you are found compliant, Services SETA will issue us with your unique trade test serial number. Once we receive your serial number we will book a trade test date for you to do your trade test.

You will either apply as a Non-contracted/ARPL learner or a Contracted learner

Non-contracted/ARPL learner

A non-contracted learner means you do not have your SAQA National qualifications or a Learnership agreement, in which case an ARPL (artisan recognition of prior learning) process must be followed to determine if you are ready for a Trade test. You need 3 years of hairdressing work experience to qualify for this option. The ARPL will be done by an interview with the learner in which they will also write a theory paper to determine if they have the required knowledge as a hairdresser. A practical test will also be set-up to determine if the learner has any gaps which need to be covered to qualify for the trade test. Once the learner is found competent a statement of results is issued, after which SETA will issue us with your trade test serial number and your trade test date will then be booked.

Trade Test Fee: R9 500.00
